In San Diego, on Monday night, Mike Trout, the All-Star outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels, had to leave the game against the San Diego Padres due to an injury in his left wrist.

During the eighth inning, Trout fouled off a pitch from Nick Martinez and immediately felt discomfort in his left arm. Angels manager Phil Nevin and a trainer came out to assess his condition, resulting in his departure from the game.

Speaking after the Angels' 10-3 loss, Trout shared, "I just took a swing and something felt uncomfortable. I'm awaiting scans and hoping for the best outcome. The feeling is not good. There's no way around it.

Hopefully, it's just a sprained wrist. I can't fully describe the pain I experienced. I've never felt anything like this before. I've never had any previous wrist issues. It's just an unfortunate occurrence."
