In the span of the past 24 hours leading up to 8:00 am on Monday (August 7), there have been 14 unfortunate fatalities among dengue patients, with a staggering 2,751 admissions to various medical facilities across the nation.
Among this recent toll, ten lives were lost in Dhaka, while the remaining four succumbed to the disease in different regions of the country.
According to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the data indicates that 1,119 individuals affected by dengue sought hospitalization within Dhaka city, while 1,632 cases were recorded in hospitals outside the capital.

The year's tally for dengue-related deaths has reached 327, surpassing the previous year's count of 281, as stated by the DGHS.
This surge in cases has led to a cumulative total of 69,483 patients thus far. Remarkably, a significant portion, amounting to 59,584 individuals, have been successfully discharged from healthcare facilities during this year.
As of now, a total of 9,572 dengue patients are actively receiving treatment in hospitals, with 4,652 undergoing care in Dhaka and 4,920 seeking treatment outside the city, according to the statement.
